Fondue For You

24 Jan

Who: For those who love a good relaxing and conversation starting fondue! (No kids please, sowwy!)
When: Saturday, January 28th @ 6pm
Where: Bear Room, GC Base Seattle

IF YOU HAVEN’T RECEIVED AN EVITE FOR THIS PARTY, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!!!!!!! You can email me at khaberlack@gmail.com. Thanks!!!

These are the details straight from the Evite:

Craving the Melting Pot for some Fondue but wanna have a fun get together too? Come join us at the CG base and lets have some jolly good fun with skewers, cheese, chocolate and tons of dipping fun!
SUPPLY NEEDS/DETAILS:
  • POTS- We need pots! I know a few of you have some fondue pots and we would love to use them since I know I don’t have any of my own (it’s on my list of wants). We will probably need at least 4.  (extras are welcome, just in case). I’m thinking we can have two different types of cheese dips and two different types of chocolate. IF you have a pot we can use but can’t come to the event, please let me know and I can pick it up from you.
  • SAUCES- I will look up some recipes, but if you have a good one, please share it or bring it so I can get the ingredients. (AKA CHEESEEEEE and CHOCOLATEEEE) Just let me know if you will bring it so I don’t get too many. If the people who are letting us use the pots could bring their dip that would be great. Kind of like a pot luck. Lets just coordinate so we don’t have the same things.  (not that all chocolate would be bad….but lets try to have some variety) IF you are bringing your pot with the fondue, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you come and if for some reason you can’t come PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know in advance so I can make arrangements to get it from you or get supplies to fill the spot. It would be terrible to have a fondue party with no fondue. I know things come up but lets be responsible and let me know as soon as your plans change.
  • DIPPING THINGS: CGFA WILL BE PROVIDING THE MEAT!!!!! Since that’s covered lets bring our favorite veggie/bread/dipping thing. etc. Signup on the bottom of comments. Will be updating it on Wednesday with final counts!!!
  • DRINKS: CGFA WILL BE PROVIDING DRINKS FOR US TO HAVE. YAY! THANKS!!!!!
  • KIDS: While we would love to have your kids join us, please keep it to babies/infants. These foods tip easily and having skewers around makes us NERVOUS!!! I know there are a lot of teens up north that love to babysit so please feel free to consult each other for sitter needs.
  • CRAZY RE-GIFT EXCHANGE-Got a crazy gift for the holidays you have no idea what to do with? Bring it over and we can have a little white elephant exchange. Let me know who is participating so we can plan that accordingly.
Any other details, please feel free to contact me. I can’t wait to see you all! Hope you all had a good holiday break and hopefully we will have a great year full of more awesome activities!
